UW Biotechnology Center  research services: transgenic/knockout mice and rats, DNA synthesis/sequencing, peptide synthesis/sequencing, mass spectrometry of phosphopeptides and small metabolites, plant biotechnology, education programs and multimedia technology resources for the UW-Madison, state and national biotechnology research communities.

        Strategic Management in the Life and Engineering Sciences (SMILES) is a new Masters degree program offered by the UW School of Business that aims to help fulfill the global need for leaders in dynamic life sciences, agribusiness and engineering organizations. More of a business focus.

        University Research Park This unique research and technology park's main mission is to encourage partnerships between businesses and university researchers.  It is the home of 107 companies employing nearly 4,000 people and is 3 miles west of the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus.

        Wisconsin Biotechnology Association Founded in 1987 by private biotechnology companies to promote the growth of biotechnology in Wisconsin, includes a list of member organizations.

        Community of Science - Internet site for the global R&D community. Searchable information profiles of more than 480,000 R&D professionals at more than 1,300 universities, corporations and government agencies worldwide. COS provides  COS Funding Opportunities™; COS Abstract Management System™; and customized access to a range of professional reference databases including U.S. Patents, MEDLINE, AGRICOLA, and GeoRef, among others.
