UW Graduate School

UW Office of Corporate Relations created by UW-Madison Chancellor John Wiley to serve the Wisconsin business community and strengthen the state’s economy by helping companies make use of university resources to be more competitive and successful. Main objectives:  Reach out to the business community in Wisconsin and help companies better understand the variety of resources that exist on our campus for them; Serve as “the front door” or first point of contact for companies that wanted to take advantage of UW resources but not sure where to go; & Support the growth of entrepreneurial activities by UW-Madison faculty, staff and students on campus.

WARF - Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation
 
Since its founding in 1925, WARF has served the University of Wisconsin-Madison scientific community by patenting the discoveries of UW-Madison researchers and licensing these technologies to leading companies in Wisconsin, the United States and worldwide. WARF distributes the income - over $45 million - from commercial licenses to the UW-Madison, the inventors and their departments.
